And while there are lots of tangible advantages for parents using Nursery Story, there’s also the sense of trust it helps establish between them and their nursery setting, something we believe is very important.
Reducing admin burdens and eliminating paperwork for nursery staff is great but there’s a lot more to Nursery Story than might initially meet the eye. Our UK based team includes EYFS experts, mums and dads, designers and (most importantly) people with lots of experience of the nursery world! We’ve developed a really good feel for making life easier for everyone who uses it.
Engage with Parents
Parent communication is something we’ve noticed the best nurseries all excel in and we wanted to make our app an extension of this. From drop off until pick-up time, our goal is to give parents the option of being as involved as they see fit and with our easy-to-use functionality it’s as simple opening the app and tapping a few buttons! According to the latest research, parents are keen to be more involved with the day-to-day of their children when they’re in their nursery setting. A nursery that’s able to meet these needs will be able to grow even stronger ties with parents.
Daily Story Live Feed
Think of how you engage with your favourite social platforms. A feed you can scroll through full of information, only this time it’s full of pictures and handy updates on how your child’s day is going. Photos of something they’ve just painted, a snapshot of the latest project they’re working on, how they’re feeling, what they’ve had for lunch…our live feed puts parents right in the heart of their children’s day. Delivered straight to their smartphone, it’s a feature we know parents love as it allows them to follow their children’s activities however far away they are. They’ll also get to see all the great work your nursery is doing at the same time.
Instant Messaging
The last 12 months have really reinforced the important things in life for all of us. For parents, we know they want to feel connected and reassured at all times. Our instant messaging feature gives practitioners and parents alike a chance to message in real-time. Parents will receive a push notification if there’s something they need to be made aware of, completely removing the worry of whether a message has been received or an email has been read.
Receive Attachments
We know that sometimes being able to send and receive messages isn’t always enough. Our latest update means that parents can now receive message attachments from nursery too. This means they’ll be able to get more detailed information and reports delivered direct to their phones, safely and securely.
Share the Joy!
We understand that families come in all shapes and sizes and know that children are incredibly important to more people than just their parents. That’s why we’ve enabled our app to work in a way that gives family members, childminders or nannies the same access as parents (should mum and dad approve, of course). This means that everyone can be kept up-to-date and informed of a child’s progress and feel connected at all times.
