How do I book a Nursery Story software demonstration?
You can book your demonstration by visiting book a demo page on our website and filling in a form. You can also email team@nurserystory.co.uk. One of the amazing Nursery Story team will show you the Nursery Story platform via a screen sharing session.
Do I need to pay a setup fee?
There is no initial set-up fee involved. For the Nursery Story platform pricing visit here.
Do I have to sign a contract?
Before using Nursery Story you need to agree to our Terms and Conditions. We then offer you a rolling contract, meaning that you are not bound to any contract and can cancel anytime. If you would like to cancel your subscription please send an email to team@nurserystory.co.uk stating your reason for termination and one of our team will get back to you.
How does Nursery Story keep personal data safe?
Nursery Story guarantees to ensure that all your records and important data stored safely online and that your information will not be lost, misplaced or damaged. You can even lock down parts of the system so that only certain members of staff have access to it.
As a Nursery Story user, you control the data on your account. Nursery Story does not sell or pass on any of the information in accounts to anyone and we do not use any of it for our own purposes. Do I need to have access to the internet?
All your data is securely stored online so you will need to access the internet to upload new content. Nursery Story does have offline capabilities meaning that you can see your important information and add activities and observations which will be uploaded once you have access to the internet.
How will using Nursery Story benefit my setting?
Using Nursery Story will not only save your team time filling out paperwork, it will give them more time to play and interact with their children and engage parents in their children’s learning. Learn more about benefits of using Nursery Story.
What devices is the Nursery Story software compatible with?
Nursery Story works PCs, android tablets, Macs and iPads. The Nursery Story Parent App is available for android phone via Google Play and iOS via the Apple Store. Visit recommended devices page for further information.
How will Nursery Story support me to use the software?
Nursery Story is quick, easy and intuitive and we know that you and your team will quickly be able to get up and running. Our unique support team will always be on hand to give you the support and help you need. We create bespoke training programmes tailored to your setting’s specific needs to make sure all your staff feel confident.
How does Nursery Story help me track children’s learning and development?
Nursery Story makes it quick and easy for you to find out where each child is in their learning and development by linking your observations to an online version of the EYFS and Characteristics of Effective Learning. You can also include next steps in your observations enabling you to plan suitable experiences to move children’s learning forward both at the setting and at home.
How will using Nursery Story support me during local authority visits and Ofsted inspections?
Using Nursery Story you will always have all the information you need about your children at the touch of a button, giving you confidence to talk about and share the impact that your provision is having on children’s learning and development. Nursery Story will aid you in showing how one child or a specific group of children have progressed since they started at your setting and how you have identified areas for improvement.
Can I link photos to my observations?
Nursery Story allows you to add photos and videos to your observations and link these back to the EYFS curriculum as you go. Not only will parents love this snapshot into their child’s learning and development, but children will love to reflect on their learning and identify what they would like to learn about next.
How does the Parent App work?
The Nursery Story Parent App helps you share all the day’s exciting activities with parents instantly to their phone. You can personalise records for multiple children or an individual child by adding your comments and observations.
What information is shared with parents on the Nursery Story Parent App?
With Nursery Story you are able to share every aspect of a child’s day including: how much they’ve eaten, wet and soiled nappies, number of naps and what activities they’ve been doing. You can also send parents gentle reminders about upcoming events, changes to routines and even a request to settle an outstanding invoice.
What should I do if I have a question or a problem?
As soon as you join Nursery Story you will have your own Account Manager who will get to know you and your setting personally. They’ll be your first point of contact should you have any questions and you can email or telephone them directly.
